Autumn 2021 Sculling Camp

The first camp after the pandemic was the Spring 2022 sculling camp. Our timing with the pandemic has not been in our favor, both the spring 2020 and 2021 camps were canceled. Due to increased interest, we held two camps for the first time. In the first one, we had 10 participants, and the second one 6 participants.

It was a great reunion to be back in Aviz and meet new enthusiastic scullers.

We introduced tipping over exercises into our program

From the feedback from our previous camps, we could see that one of the biggest challenges our participants have had, is that they are very nervous about falling and and do not dare to reach over their comfort zones. Rowers are sculling very carefully, to avoid falling.

With warm waters and under supervised conditions, getting over fears like this can be challenged.
